Barry Comprehensive Schools Annual Presentation Evening took place in the school's Sports Hall recently.

The venue was particularly appropriate this year as the guest of honour was Olympic Medal Winner David Davies. David, who achieved a Bronze Medal in the 1500 metres freestyle in Athens in 2004, took part in the prize-giving ceremony that honoured the achievements of pupils from each year group.

The evening also saw Barry Comprehensive receive the Qualifications, Curriculum & Assessment Authority for Wales School Improvement Index Award in recognition of its status as the most improved school in Wales for the second consecutive year.
