Charity Football Match

Barry Comprehensive Staff and pupils took on the Vale of Glamorgan Police in a charity football match at Jenner Park Stadium last week.

The event, which was organised by PC Justin Hardwick, was watched by Barry Comprehensive School’s Year 8 pupils. The school held a collection and presented a cheque for £250 for Ty Hafan.

It was an exciting game, with the Police scoring first followed by an equalizer from Barry Comprehensive, taking the match to sudden death penalties. Eventually the Police emerged as winners

Superintendent Sue Hayes was on hand to present the trophy at the end of the entertaining afternoon. The school team is looking forward to a re-match and hope that game will become an annual event.
