This year many of our students have chosen to study in Wales, taking advantage of the fact that fees are 60% less than in English Universities. We feel that this year more than ever, students have chosen to pursue a wide variety of new and interesting courses: Gareth Horrell, Peter Lewis and Andrew Weighell are going to The University of Glamorgan to study Computing, IT and Computer Games Development. Ben Gould will also be attending Glamorgan to study Criminology and Criminal Justice. Christopher Evans will be studying Forensic Psychology at Staffordshire University. Dominic Fouracre and Niall Murphy will be studying Motorsport Engineering and Design at Swansea Institute for Higher Education. Chris Jones will be studying Applied Golf Management at The University of Birmingham. Both Michael Camilleri and Rebecca Hill will join the Primary Education course at UWIC. Two of our students will be attending Exeter University; Owen Doel who achieved AAB is to read Politics and Rhodri Hardy who achieved 3B’s is to read Conservation, Biology and Ecology. Those students moving on to Science based courses include Bethan Shute who will be going to Leicester to study Medical Biochemistry, William Webb who achieved 3B’s and intends to study Marine Biology at St Andrews and Hannah Griffiths who will now face the challenges of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery at The University of Nottingham. We wish all our students well with the opportunities and challenges that await them on their University courses.
