Hospitality & Catering Dinner

Barry Comprehensive School’s Year 10 BTEC Hospitality & Catering students recently completed their third public function – preparing and serving a three-course dinner!

The very popular and successful GNVQ course is run in association with Barry College, where the assessment took place in the Glamorgan Suite Restaurant. During the assessment students were required to perform the roles of both cooks and waiters to a professional standard. Parents and staff were welcomed with cocktails followed by:

Asparagus & Radish Summer Salad

Pan-fried chicken with red pepper sauce and seasonal vegetables

Strawberry delight

Coffee

The dedication of the students and staff, who attend extra study sessions before and after school, was apparent to all the lucky guests.
