On Friday 26th May the School ran its own 'Keep ups' competition in support of the Soccer Aid charity which has been so popular on ITV of late. Pupils were challenged to show their soccer skills and keep a ball in the air for as long as possible to win a leather football donated by the staff at the School. Many pupils also made a donation to challenge their PE teachers in the competition (although not many succeeded in beating Mr. Hutton or Mr. Ingle!). The highest staff score of the competition was 95 'keep ups' (within a 10ft square grid) but numerous pupils broke the 100 barrier. The eventual winner of the Competition was Lee Baldock in Year 10 who scored an incredible 146 and claimed the sought after prize and in Runner up position was Ricky Samson of Year 7 who also donated the largest amount of money to the event - well done Ricky!! All profits from the event will be donated to Soccer Aid's UNICEF fund.
