Business as usual

The damage caused by the recent fire at Barry Comprehensive has been extensively reported, but now the important message is ‘business as usual’.

Barry Comprehensive will open as planned in September and we are looking forward to welcoming a brand new year 7 to the school. To make the transition from primary to secondary education a little easier, year 6 pupils and parents visited the school at the end of the Summer term

Pupils, parents and families were invited to a special Open Evening where parents were given a presentation and had the opportunity to look around the school and chat to teachers. The year 6 boys then spent the whole of the following day at the school, meeting their new teachers, attending lessons and trying out a range of activities. Each year 6 group was escorted by a guide from the current year 7, who answered questions and made sure nobody got lost.

We look forward to seeing you all again on the 5th of September
