YPP Consultation

Barry Comprehensive School played host to the Vale of Glamorgan’s Young People’s Partnership (YPP) Consultation Day recently.

This years event focussed on the results of a survey carried out with 4000 young people in the Vale aged 11-16. Students from Bryn Hafren, St. Cyres and Ysgol Bro Morgannwg joined their peers at Barry Comprehensive for a day of presentations, workshops and activities exploring the results of the survey.

Experienced facilitators lead the discussions in each session, which focussed on generating ideas for how Vale services could be improved or changed to address the issues raised by the survey results.

A report based on the Consultation Day will be compiled and published on the Vale of Glamorgan’s website and summaries of the report sent to all Vale secondary schools, youth centres and the Welsh Assembly Government.

Barry Comprehensive School was delighted to host the event and would like to thank our friends from the YPP team for a fascinating day and to congratulate all the students involved for representing their respective schools so well.
