Barry Comprehensive School

Barry Comprehensive School’s Sam Lakin and Lewis Whitehorn are flying high after their success in the Barry College International Centre for Aerospace Engineering Aerospace Saturday Club.

Both boys attended a presentation evening at the college last week, receiving certificates and an invitation to take to the skies in a special reward flight for students completing the programme.

Sam was also claimed the ‘Best Avionics Hand Skills Award’ and took home a radio-controlled aeroplane as a prize. Unfortunately the models maiden flight did not go as planned and Sam now has a chance to use all his engineering skills in effecting a repair.
