Barry Comprehensive School

During the Spring Term Year 7 pupils have taken part in an Art project based on Gargoyles. The pupils who designed and made their own models out of clay were very successful and produced excellent pieces of work. As a finishing touch the Gargoyles were ‘Smoke Fired’ to give an authentic appearance. Some year 7 pupils were chosen to take part in the event. The boys wrapped the individual pieces of work in sawdust and newspaper, which were then placed in a metal incinerator bin. We set fire to the work after school, which was a fantastic smoky finale to the project.
