Best Ever GCSE Results!

Students attending Barry Comprehensive School have achieved their best ever GCSE results with 73% of the year group reaching the 5 A*-C standard.

Following on from last week’s excellent A Level results, and the glowing Inspection Report from Estyn in April, this latest achievement puts the icing on the cake for pupils, parents and staff at Barry Comprehensive.

The number of pupils achieving 5 or more A* - C grades (or equivalents) across a broad range of subjects is impressive and includes some outstanding individual results;

  • Sam Harris achieved five A* grades, five A grades and a B in Italian – an extra subject studied in after school languages club.
  • Irtiza Syed achieved six A* grades and two A grades
  • Ashley Brown achieved one A* grade and eight A grades
  • Liam Stait achieved one A* grade, six A grades and four B grades
  • Luke Williams achieved six A grades and five B grades
Staff at the school are thrilled with the results and offer their congratulations to the whole year group.
