Pembrokeshire Rocks!

Barry Comprehensive School’s Year 11 GCSE Geologists visited Marloes Sands, Pembrokeshire for two days to complete their fieldwork projects.

The thirty pupils and three staff concentrated on the spectacular beaches and cliffs on the first day, with some time found to enjoy a quick splash in the waves. In the evening the group visited Haverfordwest for a fish and chips supper before returning to base for an early night.

The second day was the main fieldwork day. All of the students worked extremely well and made a good start on their mapping projects.

Everyone returned safely home late on Friday evening, tired but with memories of a great trip and some great geology.

The next Geology fieldtrip is taking place during the Easter Holidays – Destination: Iceland!
