Hospitality & Catering Festive Feast

Hospitality & Catering Christmas Dinner

Barry Comprehensive School’s Year 10 and Year 11 BTEC Hospitality & Catering students recently completed a very festive public function – preparing and serving a three-course Christmas dinner!

The very popular and successful GNVQ course is run in association with Barry College, where the assessment took place in the Glamorgan Suite Restaurant. During the assessment students were required to perform the roles of both cooks and waiters to a professional standard. Guests were welcomed with drinks followed by:

Warm Ciabatta

Chicken Breast With Herb & Lemon Croquette & Parmentier Potatoes. Served With Baton Carrots & Broccoli With Almonds

Yuletide Eccles Cakes With Gran Marnier Sauce

The dedication of the students and staff, who attend extra study sessions before and after school, was apparent to all the lucky guests.
