Click On Korkey

Chris ‘Korkey’ Corcoran from BBC Wales Scrum V brought his campaign for a million hits on his Six Nations website to Barry Comprehensive last week.

Chris and the camera crew took over an IT Suite with a Year 7 class to film the short promotional clip which is currently airing on the BBC. In the clip, Korky encourages the boys to click on the website and when asked, assures them that every click counts towards their school project grade! The rest of the clip features different groups of people all clicking on Korkey.

As well as meeting and talking to Chris, the boys were very interested in the whole filming process and discussed some of the technical aspects with the director. The point of the campaign, to promote the Six Nations, was not lost, and Chris spoke to some of the rugby players in the class about how their season was progressing. Of course, the possibility of appearing on television only added to the excitement.
