Pupil Progress Presentation Evening

Barry Comprehensive School’s Year 7 pupils welcomed their parents/guardians and families to a special ‘Pupil Progress Presentation Evening' on Wednesday 8th November.

During the evening, each boy made a twenty-minute presentation about his learning in Mathematics, English and one other chosen subject to demonstrate the progress they have made since joining the school in September.

Parents were asked to note targets for improvement in key areas and were supplied with support materials to allow them to play as full a role as possible in the school/home partnership that is vital in ensuring that progress continues throughout the year.

Presentations were made under the watchful eye of the pupils' English teachers, who are also the boys' form tutors. The evening was attended by over 200 sets of parents/guardians from whom feedback was extremely positive. The School looks forward to welcoming them again later in the year when they will have the opportunity to meet with all subject teachers to discuss progress.
