European Languages Day

The European Day of Languages took place on 28 September at Barry Comprehensive School.

Language ‘taster’ lessons were held in German, Norwegian, Italian, Spanish and Dutch. Barry Comprehensive’s Sixth Form International students joined forces with parents and teachers to deliver this interesting range of European languages.

In addition to languages, many other European themed activities took place. These included Spanish cuisine in Food Technology, flag making in Art and learning French songs in Music. The theme continued through lunch-time with great efforts made by the canteen staff to offer students and staff a range of national dishes from Hungarian Goulash to British Fish’n’Chips with a mouth watering Crepe Suzette dessert.

The day was very successful and enjoyable and the MFL Department would like to thank everyone who took part.
