Just before Easter, a group of Barry Comprehensive School students attended the Liberty Stadium in Swansea  to receive their prizes for the competition ‘Getting to know the Foreign Language Assistant'.

Schools from across Wales took part in the competition so all students should feel proud of their achievement. Jack Westerland (12LE) came 2nd in the A Level entry. This is Jack's third year of being a prize winner and he had a special mention. Well Done Jack! Drew Simpson, Scott Nelson, Gareth and Ian Crapnell (Year 8) came 3rd in their category and won £50 for the French Department!

The prizes were given out by a representative from the British Council who also spoke about the importance of learning a language.
