Year 7
The Year 7 team have taken little time to gel and now look like a competitive side which can challenge for honours. The side is solid at the back and quick up front and this combination has led to some fantastic results in the opening games. St Richard Gwyn, Radyr, Glyn Derw and Mary Immaculate have all been beaten by a Year 7 team which is growing with confidence after every match. Billy Gratton and Sam Thompson have proved to be vital to the team and with practice the team can grow stronger.

Year 8
Year 8 have enjoyed a positive start to the 2007/08 season. They have made a steady start to the league campaign and have progressed to the quarter final of the Cardiff Cup with a 6-0 victory over Michaelstone. Rhys James was inspirational in this important victory for the Year 8 squad.

Year 9
The Year 9 squad have produced some very impressive performances during the first 7 weeks of the season. The boys have won 3 out of 4 league games and progressed through to the quarter final of the Cardiff Cup with a 5-2 victory over Rumney. Jack Fitchett, Joel Hopkins, Paul Morgan and Gareth Tinsley have all produced some outstanding performances for the Year 9 team.

Year 10
What a start to the 2007/08 season!! Five wins out of five sees the Year 10 squad top the Cardiff and Vale league and securely through to the Cardiff cup quarter final. The boys have produced some of the best team performances seen in a long time and have scored 8 goals in a game on more than three occasions this season….including an 8-1 win against last years Welsh Schools finalists Bro Morgannwg!!!!!! Mr. Ingle has been extremely happy with the teams attitude and desire to work for each other on the pitch. Tom Moffatt, Ryan Newman and Rhys Davies all deserve special mention for their performances this season.

Year 11
Year 11 have made a flying start to the season. Winning three games out of the first four has meant a solid start to the league season and progression in the all important Welsh Schools Cup. Wins have been inspired by a fantastic team spirit to maintain the successes of past seasons and this was shown in the recent game against Bromorgannwg. 3-0 down at half time, the boys looked dejected and a shadow of their former selves, however after a rousing half time team talk by Mr Hutton the team rallied to win 4-3 against their local rivals. Positive results like this have lead to a growing belief that great things can be achieved this season.

Barry 6th Form
For the first occasion in recent times the Barry 6 th Form look like a side that can achieve great things. Led by Kristian Shaw the team have put past seasons disappointments behind them and have managed to win their opening three matches. Convincing victories against Radyr, Cardiff High School and Bishop of Llandaff have led to the team progressing to the Semi Finals of the WSFA Interschools Competition (U18) and WSFA Interschools Competition (U19 Schools and Colleges). Will this run continue? Only time will tell.
