Barry Comprehensive School

Forty Year 11 students from Barry Comprehensive School packed their school bags early last Saturday and booked into the Quality Inn, Cardiff for the weekend.

Over twenty teaching staff supported the weekend by delivering lessons and study skills sessions which were well received by all the students.

A thirteen hour working day on the Saturday and a very early Sunday start were new experiences for some of the Barry Comprehensive visitors, but their commitment and enthusiasm never waned.

Student reactions could be summed up by the comments on the evaluation sheets from Nicky Allsop and Ryan Mason. Nicky said “The weekend was brilliant. It was very helpful and effective. The teachers were helpful”. Ryan commented “Thank you so much. I now have the confidence to go into an examination and not panic”.
