Running for VSO: Sharing Skills / Changing Lives |
Ms Conway, 7JC and supporters
7JC, along with some other pupils from Barry Comprehensive, were running to raise money for VSO (Voluntary Services Overseas). The boys were supporting their form tutor, Ms Conway, who is running the London Marathon this year. VSO is a very important charity that supports developing countries by sending in skilled workers such as teachers and doctors to share their skills with local communities.
The boys were not only helping to raise money for a worthwhile cause but were also supporting their form teacher with one of her many training runs in the lead up to the marathon. All of the pupils worked hard on the run, some of them even ran three legged!
