Barry Comprehensive School devoted the last week of term to one of its most popular annual events - Activity Week Pupils from years 7, 8 & 9 spent the week out of lessons and out of uniform taking part in a range of interesting and unusual activities and trips. Out of school, pupils visited the Fleet Air Arm Museum, Llangorse Multi-Activity Centre, Cadoxton Bowling Cub, Big Pit Mining Museum, Merthyr Mawr Dunes, the Paintball Centre, flew radio controlled aircraft at Llandow, went swimming, had a two-night stay in London and lent a hand to the conservation work of the Friends of Plymouth Great Woods in Cardiff There was plenty to do inside school as well. This year’s activities included building and flying model aeroplanes, scaling the school’s indoor climbing wall, table tennis, badminton, football, dodgeball, basketball coaching, indoor stargazing and Enterprise Activities under the guidance of Careers Wales. Our thanks to everyone involved for making the week a great success.
