Barry Comprehensive School sixth-form students and their teachers are celebrating an outstanding set of A Level results.
The vast majority students have earned a place at their first choice of University and are going on to study a wide range of subjects. Particular individual achievements include:
- Ashley Brown achieved three ‘A’ grades and one ‘B’ grade and will be studying Medicine at Southampton University.
- Tom Jones achieved three ‘A’ grades and one ‘B’ grade and will be studying a four year Masters course in Geology at Leicester University.
- Irtiza Syed achieved three ‘A’ grades and one ‘B’ grade and will be studying Neuroscience at Nottingham University
- Emma Roberts achieved three ‘A’ grades and one ‘B’ grade and will be studying Law at Exeter University.
- Lloyd Rogers achieved three ‘A’ grades and will be studying Biology at Bath University.
- Sam Harris achieved two ‘A’ grades and two ‘B’ grade and will also be studying Medicine at Southampton University.
- Chris Gribben achieved two ‘A’ grades and one ‘B’ grade and will also be studying Biochemistry at Bath University.
- Liam Townsend achieved one ‘A’ grade and two ‘B’ grades and will be studying Welsh at Aberystwyth
Raka Katon, one of the many exchange students attending Barry Comprehensive, has had an eventful time in the Sixth Form. Whilst studying with us, Raka’s family emigrated from Indonesia to Canada. Having completed his A Levels and collected his results, Raka will be flying to his new home to study Mechanical Engineering at the University of Montreal in Canada.
Overall, 96% of results were in the A - E grade range.
