Careers Wales have announced the winners of their calendar art competition at the Dow Corning’s Nature Centre. Pupils from primary and secondary schools from the Vale entered the competition by designing a poster based on what the world would look like in the future.
There were twelve top prizes, a highly commended prize and runner up prizes. Caelum Davies won top prize for his wonderful artwork and received a £50 gift voucher and his work will be published in the 2009 calendar. Sam Jukes won the highly commended prize and also received a £50 gift voucher.
Careers Wales were extremely impressed by the detail of Sam’s drawing.
Both pupils were delighted to have won and look forward to entering future art competitions.
