Five Barry Comprehensive School students travelled to Birchgrove Comprehensive, Swansea to take part in the UK Chess Challenge Megafinal.

The pupils achieved a place in the megafinal by competing against fellow students during lunchtimes in the school’s chess club. The club is run as part of a Welsh Baccalaureate community work module. The club meets every Tuesday and is open to everyone from novices to experienced players.
