The Celtic Crusaders Rugby League Team have very generously agreed to support Barry Comprehensive School’s programme to raise the level of effort and achievement amongst key stage three pupils. An important part of the programme is to reward pupils for their achievements. Every half-term, the Celtic Crusaders will donate six family tickets to a home game, allowing highly achieving pupils to celebrate their success with their families. Matt Pritchard, the Community Development Manager for Celtic Crusaders, commented that the club is very pleased to be supporting the initiative. This half-term’s ticket recipients were, Tom Perry, Matthew Williams, Shaun Ledbetter, Sean Giddings, Chad Travis and Zak Brown. The boys were very impressed with their first experience of rugby league and had a very enjoyable afternoon. Everyone at the school would like to thank the Celtic Crusaders for their support and we look forward to introducing more pupils to rugby league in the future.
