HMS
Monmouth Visit

Barry Comprehensive School were invited to send a party of 30 students to visit the Royal Navy’s HMS Monmouth which had docked in Britannia Quay, Cardiff.

Year 7 pupils have settled into the school very well since joining us in September and 30 of them were selected as a reward for their hard work and commitment.

HMS Monmouth is an operational warship and the students were able to mix freely with young serving naval listings and benefit from a tour of the ship.

It was certainly a fascinating insight into the life at sea for those that have decided on a career with the Royal Navy.
