Knockout gift
for LATCH

Pupils from Barry Comprehensive School visited the Children’s Hospital at the University of Wales Hospital in Cardiff.to deliver a cheque for £5000 to support LATCH.

On hand to receive the cheque was Joe Calzaghe. Joe is a long time supporter of LATCH and is the current WBO and WBA world super middleweight champion and also holds the Ring Magazine super middleweight and light heavyweight championships.

Joe, who extended his unbeaten run to 46 with a points win over Roy Jones Jr at the weekend, was generous with his time and presented the lucky boys with signed gloves.

The school began its association with LATCH by delivering Christmas presents to the Oncology Clinic at Llandough Hospital. This tradition now continues at the new hospital. The £5000 donation was raised by pupils, parents and staff at the school through a variety of fundraising activities.
