Emma, Ashley, Lewis and Liam take a break
after some frantic cake selling

On Friday the 26th of September, Barry Comprehensive Sixth Form students showed their initiative and charitable spirit by setting up a tea and cake sale as part of Macmillan’s global coffee morning. Last year the charity raised £7.5 million, and are aiming to raise £8.5 million this year. Barry Comprehensive students and staff didn’t disappoint, raising an excellent contribution of £140.00.

The new head boy and head girl made easy work of setting up stalls in the staff room and outside the common room and before long were surrounded by eager customers getting into the spirit of things. Barry Comprehensive is grateful to all those who took part and is proud to support such a worthy cause by being a part of the world’s biggest coffee morning.
