Mark Cean singing during a day of workshops at Barry Comprehensive School

On Thursday 20th November the French Department enjoyed a day of workshops with Mark Cean, a French singer who visited the school last year.

Mark worked with groups of pupils from year 11 and the 6th Form, encouraging learning through song. The experience was great fun and pupils were quick to join in with the singing.

In the evening Mark gave a concert which included his own songs and others and saw Mark accompanied on stage by a group of pupils for two songs. The concert was very enjoyable and we would like to thank Mark for sharing his talent with us and we look forward to welcoming him back in the future. In March Mark will be meeting up with the pupils in Paris on the school trip to the French capital.
