BCTV Scoop Media4Schools Awards |
2008 has been a great year for everyone involved in BCTV and Media4Schools this year, and their cinematic achievements were recognised in the Media4Schools Award Ceremony, held this year at Cineworld in Cardiff.
The school was nominated for a total of eight of awards, including Best Sport Related Film, Best Camera-work, and Best Regional Film. In fact three Barry Comprehensive films made the final, and our documentary film about a local tortoise sanctuary picked up the award in a close-run contest.
Josh Dymond in Year 13 won the award for Best Edited Film with his short fiction piece, Balloon, Champion Teacher for the second time was Ms Edwards and Hayden Pullum picked up Best Onscreen Performance for his role as a boy with autism in a production which tackles the difficulties facing children with educational needs.
In all £300 in prize money was won, alongside a host of certificates to add to the growing collection. Well done to everyone involved!
