Year 7 Progress Presentation Evening

Barry Comprehensive School’s Year 7 pupils welcomed their parents/guardians and families to a special ‘Pupil Progress Presentation Evening' last week.

During the evening, boys made presentations about their learning to demonstrate the progress that they have made since joining the school in September. Parents were asked to note targets for improvement in key areas and were supplied with support materials to allow them to play as full a role as possible in the school/home partnership that is vital in ensuring that progress continues throughout the year.

The Learning Support Department had a very busy and enjoyable night - the room was very full as no-one wanted to go home! Boys had worked very hard to prepare PowerPoint presentations about their first few weeks at the school to show and read to their parents. Pupils also showed their progress in English, Mathematics and one other subject of their choice. These choice ranged from playing the ‘Eastenders’ theme tune on the keyboard, to demonstrating games made in Technology, along with sharing Art and Science Work.
