Activity Week 2010

Barry Comprehensive School devoted the last week of term to one of its most popular annual events - Activity Week

Pupils from years 7, 8 & 9 spent the week out of lessons and out of uniform taking part in a range of interesting and unusual activities and trips.

Out of school, pupils visited Ferndale Skate Park, Llangorse Multi-Activity Centre, Cadoxton Bowling Cub, Porthkerry Park, Big Pit Mining Museum, Oakwood, Drayton Manor, Go Ape at Margam Park, Bristol Zoo and Merthyr Mawr Dunes,

They also helped Friends of Plymouth Great Woods in Cardiff, went swimming, tried sea fishing, went to the cinema, had a barbeque at Southerndown, and went camping in the Gower.

There was plenty to do inside school as well. This year’s activities included building and flying model aeroplanes, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, football, dodgeball, basketball, indoor stargazing and Enterprise Activities under the guidance of Careers Wales.

Our thanks to everyone involved for making the week a great success.
