GCSE Results 2010

Barry Comprehensive School GCSE students and their teachers are celebrating another outstanding set of results, with the top ten pupils amassing an amazing 121 A* and A grades between them.

Jeff Bevan, Ben Callow, Caelum Davies, Tomas Ellis, Kyle Harfoot, Luke James, Lewis Jenkins, Lloyd Jones, Christopher Newby and George Scott are top of a results table that saw pupils achieve excellent grades right across the school’s wide range of GCSE, Welsh Baccalaureate, Diploma, BTEC and GNVQ qualifications.

Overall, 70% of students achieved five or more A*- C grade GCSE or equivalent qualifications, with 38% of students achieving ten or more A*- C grades.

Headteacher David Swallow said, “Everyone at the school is proud of this years examination results, particularly with the high number of top grades.  Through their own hard work and the support provided by the school, students are now well placed to make the best of future opportunities in education and training.”

We wish all our GCSE students good luck with their future endeavours and look forward to welcoming many students back to continue their studies with us in the Sixth Form.
