Barry Comprehensive School ’s Year 7 pupil Sean Mayor came up with a brilliant idea to support Real Radio's Bring A Pound To Work Day For Ty Hafan on Thursday April 15th, 2010.

Instead of just asking for donations at school, Sean and his team, Michael Margetts, Mitchell Pierce, and Amin Ullah, baked a huge selection of fresh cakes to sell to raise cash. The boys setup a stall at break-time and pupils and staff soon cleared every plate, raising over £150.00 for Ty Hafan..

Real Radio presenters WIggy and Quiney were so impressed they called into school on their way to Ty Hafan to speak to the boys. Wiggy, a former pupil at Barry Comprehensive, invited the boys to Real Radio to tour the studios and watch him in action.

Well done Sean, Amin, Michael and Mitchell

Real Radio also covered this story on their website here and here.
