The year 12 performers with their teacher Mrs Ellis

Following visits to Barry Comprehensive School by Julie Grady rom Atal Y’Fro, Year 12 Citizenship students were invited to watch a performance devised by some of their peers.

Natalia Davies, Megan Harrington-John, Bradley Simpkins, Molly Watts and Mariel Sabo, were asked by Julie to create a piece based around the issues of Healthy Relationships. The performance would mark the opening of a fundraiser held by Atal Y’Fro on National Women’s Day.

Having taken part in a workshop held by Julie, the Year 12 performers chose the subject of ‘Cyber Bullying’ and explored how it can affect young people and their relationships.

The performance was a huge success and gave the students the confidence to share the experience with their peers.
