Barry Comprehensive School’s donation to the Vale Foodbank.
Barry Comprehensive School was approached by the Vale Foodbank to help them provide families and individuals in crisis through the provision of emergency food supplies.
The Foodbank is the result of a partnership between the Coastlands Family Church and the Vale of Glamorgan, which has been providing food parcels to people in need since 2007. Health visitors, social workers and other community based organisations will refer people in need of help to the Foodbank, where they will receive enough nutritionally balanced food for three days.
The school has collected items specified on the Foodbank shopping list and will be delivering them in time for the official opening by Jane Hutt (AM) on Friday 23 September.
