Our first day of activities was a busy one; we started with orienteering where we had to do a hunt around the camp looking for different numbers in different locations. It was great working as a team and getting to know our way around.
It was then on to the climbing wall, which was quite easy but a few of us challenged the more difficult section and got to the top.
We then went on the trampolines - this was fun even though the harness was a little uncomfortable, but after readjusting we got on with our back flips!
We were really excited for the go-carts and we all whizzed around the track, Mrs Jones thought some of us would give Lewis Hamilton a run for his money, she was very happy to see us coming off!
Our last activity was the toboggans – this was a lot of fun and we all got very wet as we zoomed down the slope on our little sledges.
We also got to take our picture with Dewi Pws Morris who is a famous Welsh singer and the Welsh Children’s Poet for 2011, he was visiting the camp.
We were all very tired and the film night in our PJ’s with popcorn was the perfect end to a very busy day. |
