Nick and Adam at the BBC's "Off By Heart" Shakespeare competition in Bristol

Barry Comprehensive School pupils Nick Currie and Adam Owens attended the BBC's "Off By Heart" Shakespeare competition in Bristol. on Friday 11th November.

The boys, from Year 9, won the school heats run by the English and Drama departments in the Summer term before moving on to the national competition.

Nick and Adam competed against 112 other pupils from all over Wales and the South West of England. They had learned, practised and perfected a famous Shakespeare speech which they performed in front of judges from the BBC and the world of theatre. Although they were not one of the four pupils chosen to go through to the next round, both pupils were commended for their individual performances and, throughout the process, were a real credit to Barry Comprehensive School.
