Anyone lucky enough to have tickets to Cameron Mackintosh's new production of Lionel Bart's musical 'Oliver!' this Christmas may spot Barry Comprehensive School pupil Oliver Bartlett in the chorus.
Oliver, who is in Year 7, travelled to Pimlico 10 times over a 5-week period to rehearse with the London based cast and will be appearing in 24 performances at the Wales Millennium Centre.
Oliver has met producer Cameron Mackintosh as well as getting to know his fellow cast members. Oliver says that Neil Morrissey, who plays Fagin, is ‘really nice’ and he has had fun joking with Samantha Barks ‘Nancy’, Iain Fletcher ‘Bill Sikes’ and the rest of the cast in between rehearsals.
Well done Oliver and break a leg!
