At the end of last term, Professor David Egan visited Barry Comprehensive School in order to celebrate the publishing of a book on action research in Welsh classrooms.

Five teachers at the school have contributed essays to the book.  Each essay outlines individual strategies adopted by teachers, and often departments, with the key purpose of raising standards and increasing student opportunities in learning.  All five teachers, Ms Sian Morgan, Mrs Gemma Seville, Mr Mark Hutton, Mrs Lyndsay Davies and Mr David Williams have taken on higher Continued Professional Development supported by the school.

We would like to pass on thanks to Professor Egan who worked hard to edit and publish the  book, with the support of the Local Education Authority.
