The Learning Resources Centre
We believe that children deserve the best possible learning environment. Our Learning Resources Centre is well established and offers far more than a traditional library.
The LRC is spacious and is open throughout the day, including lunch time and after school. It is a comfortable place where children of all ages can learn and study independently and supports every subject in the school.
A wide range of modern technology is available. Our computers are up-to-date and have broadband access to the Internet, which is carefully supervised. There are also CD ROMs, videos and tapes, bought on the advice of teachers. It is well stocked with books, newspapers, magazines and journals.
In order to encourage the more reluctant readers and learners, we offer books and magazines on popular topics to make the LRC a place they will want to visit often.
Education for everyone
The Adult Education Programme is based in our school and has many benefits for us all. Everyone in the community can use our facilities, and maximum use is made of our educational resources. As a result people in and around Barry have found out what we can offer, and enjoy the school’s welcoming atmosphere.
