The school has been very successful in raising the achievement of pupils, both at Year 11 and in the Sixth Form. Pupils of all abilities are gaining better grades and qualifications, thanks to the quality of teaching and the facilities we provide for learning.

Teaching facilities

The school has been redeveloped extensively so most classrooms are new, light, roomy, well decorated and comfortable. We have modern facilities for every subject area and continue to develop our buildings in order to provide the best learning environment for our children.

The school is now on a single site and has been designed to ensure easy movement between lessons and a relatively simple layout for pupils to follow. All staff have their own teaching rooms where they are expected to display the work of pupils in order to give children a sense of pride in their achievements.

One of the most attractive features of the school is the Cybercafé. Catering staff are able to provide a speedy service and the building is attractive enough to have been the venue for highly successful PTA events and dances.

The brand new Sports Hall has been made possible through funding from Sportslot. We are so proud of the quality of our facilities that we have opened them up to the whole community.
