Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning

Barry Comprehensive School was proud to join schools and offices across the UK last Friday to support the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

Pupils, parents and staff contributed cakes which Sixth Form students sold to eager pupils at break time.

Staff made and submitted a mouth-watering selection of cakes to the Cake Competition, which was judged by resident expert Mr Tresilian.

The school was delighted to welcome a number of special guests to the Learning Resource Centre to join in with the fundraising, including Alun Cairns, MP, Jane Hutt (AM) and members of the Royal British Legion.

The coffee morning was great fun, and also raised £500 for MacMillan, a very worthwhile charity.
