Barry Comprehensive School’s pupils and staff supported this year’s Children in Need with a fabulous collection of fundraising activities.
Pupils paid £1 each to wear their own clothes for the day whilst Year 12 Welsh Baccalaureate students organised the activities. The sixth formers put in lots of hard work and showed real dedication by staying late after school and coming in early to help prepare a massive range of activities including laser tag, boxing kangaroos, sumo wrestling, pugil stick duels, balance beam battles, giant connect-4, giant buzz-wire, giant jenga and basketball challenge as well as filling the Sports Hall with giant inflatables.
Josh Bell (Year 8) won the Basketball Challenge by shooting the most basketballs against the clock.
Everyone joined in the spirit if the day, continuing the success of last year’s event to produce a great day for Barry Comprehensive School and a sizable donation to Children in Need.
