Flag flies high for Royal Jubilee!

Students from Barry Comprehensive School enjoyed traditional roast beef and Yorkshire pudding this week in honour of the Royal Jubilee. Canteen staff, under the leadership of Mrs Jessica Cooper entered into the celebration spirit and decorated the canteen with bunting and Union Jacks.

Learning Support students also decorated their classroom, intertwining Welsh flags with Union Jacks. The group sent a letter to the Queen after spending a lesson studying royal history and current affairs and were thrilled to receive a reply from Buckingham Palace. The students from 7EZ really enjoyed telling their new Headteacher everything they had learned about the Royal family

Mr McNamara, who will be taking over as Headteacher in September, has been spending time at the school getting to know staff and students in preparation for the new school year.
