On Friday 7th October, Barry Comprehensive School welcomed almost 300 year six boys to an action-packed day to introduce them to the school.
The Science department took over the school hall with a large scale experiment on power that featured demonstrations, hands-on practicals and an explosion or two!
Pupils also had a crash course in making music with a Junk Band, African drums, Samba, percussion, rock school and an introduction to Music Technology.
Dodgeball in the gym gave everyone a chance to work up an appetite which combined with the mouth-watering aromas from the Hospitality and Catering Dept made everyone ready for lunch.
Rounding off the day, every boy received an information pack about the school including a copy of our brand new prospectus and a cool watch so there will be no excuses for being late when they visit us again next year.
Thanks to everyone involved for contributing to a great day.
