Guide home The Zulu People My essay is on about the Zulus in South Africa. Chaka Zulu he was the king of all the Zulu people. Zulu people did not believe in taking orders from any other nation but their own. It is also believed that they slaughter animals and drain the blood to raise the sprits of there forefathers. They first slit the throat of the animal and then they drain the blood from the animals. They drain the blood while the animals are still alive. They also cut the vein underneath the tongue of the dogs. They do this because they believe it gets rid of the evil spirits in them. They are very hardworking people and they are very strong. They are also very proud of their culture and most of all they are very honest with each other. They will always fight for what they believe in and also for there culture. They love to sing and dance around a fire on special occasions for example when one of their people are getting married or just got married. And they also like sing and dancing when a boy becomes a man. To us it may seem cruel but to them it seems normal there is nothing we can say or do that can change in what they believe in. A lot of this still goes on today and although we do not understand a lot of their culture and a lot of it is extremely cruel. We have to accept that this is what they believe in.
