Barry Comprehensive School was transformed into a reality TV show last week for the Drama Department spectacular – “Big Barry”
Pupils from years 7, 8 & 9 worked for weeks to devise the show that was inspired by a popular television series. The pupils put many hours of their own time into the creation of the piece, demonstrating a huge commitment to the subject. In the production, a group of outrageous ‘housemates' competed for audience votes to stop themselves being evicted from the Big Barry House. Elliot Hanson was the winning housemate at the end of both performances.
The show was also staged for pupils during the school's activity week and the combination of comedy, music, dance and outstanding performances made it a great success. Successful TV shows always have sequels – “Big Barry 2” may be just around the corner.
