| Luke Bowls For Welsh Boys Team |
Barry Comprehensive student Luke Stanley was thrilled to be selected to play for the Welsh Boys Indoor Bowls team in their match against the Welsh Girls team in Mountain Ash on Sunday November 6 th 2004.
Luke began playing outdoor bowls four years ago for Barry Central Bowling Club in Gladstone Park where he is now the Junior Team Captain. Luke also plays indoor bowls for the Sully Bowling Club.
Luke is a veteran tournament competitor, representing the Vale of Glamorgan in the Welsh Bowls Association Under 16s Pairs competition during the summer and leading his team to victory in the Junior League.
Luke's skill and experience clearly paid off in Mountain Ash where the Welsh Boys Team won the day.
Barry Comprehensive student Luke Stanley continued his recent top form by winning the Vale of Glamorgan Under 16s Singles Indoor Bowls Championship hosted at the Sully Club.
Luke, who has represented Wales at the junior level, overcame challenges from other strong players to take the championship.
Luke is now starting the outdoor season in top form and looks forward to further success.
