A gruesome murder took place at Lord Ellis's Estate last week – marking the start of Barry Comprehensive School's first Murder Mystery Evening.

Students, from year 7 to year 10, worked very hard throughout the project to assume the characters of suspects and police officers. The audience questioned the suspects in an attempt to discover their hidden motives and identify the murderer. School Liaison Officer Malcom Thomas took the role of Chief Inspector to ensure proceedings were conducted properly.

All the students improvised their lines relying on their wits and their knowledge of the characters they played. Because there was no script the only person who knew the murderer's identity in advance was the murderer himself!

The evening was a huge success and all the participants, especially the audience, enjoyed themselves tremendously.
