Captain Pridmore with Barry Comprehensive School

Barry Comprehensive School welcomed Captain Darren Pridmore of the Welsh Guards to school last term to meet with students who attend the Military Preparation College in Cardiff and addressed all Year 7 pupils. The school had recently raised £1,000 in support of Welsh Guards injured in Afghanistan.
The school were particularly concerned to help Dale Leach, a former student of the school, who was seriously injured by a roadside bomb whilst travelling in Helman Province.
Captain Pridmore explained his extremely demanding role of supporting soldiers and their families who had been injured whilst on duty. He promised to pass on the school’s best wishes to Dale when he next saw him.
